Cotton can only be classified as organic cotton if very special requirement are met. The field must be barren without any planting or chemicals used on the soil for five years. Cotton plants and growing fields are not sprayed with any pesticides during the growing season. No dyes or chemicals are used in the manufacture of the Organic Blankets and Throws. Made in Portugal. Blankets & Throws are finished on all sided with matching woven binding.
